Confessions of a Google Employee

The interview with Doug Edwards the former employee of Google shes a lot of insight from two perpsectives, internally and externally.  The fact of the matter is Google affects billions of people around the world, so the brand “Google” has become so enourmous that there are many questions that have come forth as they continue to proceed as one of the most recognizable and used companies in the world.  This interview also talks about the perspective of the Google employee and the ongoing debates within the company with the types of products they are developing.  In doing so there are many privacy issues that have arose.  These are very complex problems that take the best engineering minds in the world to deal with “the questions of monopoly and censorship when often there is no solution to the problem.”   This shows that even the unconventional management techniques and work environment at Google reflects the diverse problems they face as they continue to move into the informational age as one of the most influential companies in the world.
